John Gitonga is not just a driver-guide; he is a product of the land, wildlife, and culture that define Kenya’s safari heritage.
Born and raised in Laikipia, a region rich in wildlife and pastoral traditions, John’s connection to nature began at an early age.
As a young boy, he spent nights guarding family land from elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and antelopes—experiences that shaped both his respect for wildlife and his deep understanding of animal behavior.
With over 15 years of professional experience as a safari driver-guide, John has guided travelers from all over the world through Kenya and East Africa. He holds a Diploma in Tourism Studies, is a certified member of the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association (KPSGA), and continues to deepen his knowledge through environmental and conservation work.
